Human Growth Hormone: the Rocket looks like he'll be in the docket. |

If you've nosed the sports news lately (yes, some of it really stinks!), you've got to be aware of the ruckus around the Rocket. In addition to being suspect about his use of performance enhancing steroids, the main man of baseball is also a suspect in an ongoing investigation to see if he illegally used Human Growth Hormone.
What's quite interesting is to take a look at his pitching stats when he was allegedly on the illegal stuff. His performance really appears to have improved, quite dramatically. But, when he was allegedly off the stuff, his performance, though being well above the norm for most other average pitchers, was significantly below his performance while he was supposedly on Human Growth Hormone and performance enhancing steroids.
His back-up tale of how he was being injected with vitamins only doesn't really seem to be winning many converts. In fact, the more he tries to deny his involvement with Human Growth Hormone treatments, the more he seems to be convincing people that he very well may have been in bed with Human Growth hormone supplements for years! However, his best defense for now, would be to just keep quiet. (The old cliché "He's not doing himself any favors" really rings true in this instance.)
So, because the Rocket has been so outspoken about his use of Human Growth Hormone, it looks like he's almost guaranteed himself some time in the court's docket. |
