In Sydney, Australia, on-screen boxing legend Sylvester Stallone faces stiff fines after attempting to transport a muscle-enhancing growth hormone, known as HGH, into Australia. This is a restricted drug and he faces high fines for possession. The Rocky and Rambo star faces one charge of importing HGH. It all started out when Stallone and his entourage were halted at the Sydney airport where they were detained for several hours on February 16th. They were there for a promotional visit. Customs officials searched bags and confiscated the HGH that they had found. His hotel room was searched and more items were confiscated several days later as well. Stallone and his entourage were allowed to leave Australia, and he did not feel compelled to show up in the Sydney Local Court for the hearing. The maximum penalty for bringing in the substance to Australia is $11,000 Aust (US $8,644), and Stallone is unlikely to face the maximum penalty. |
